Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking statement
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Moorgarth Group Holdings Ltd has taken to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.
1. About Us
Moorgarth Group Holdings Ltd is a UK-based property company engaged in property investment and asset management. We operate solely within the United Kingdom and work with a limited number of suppliers, including contractors, agents, and service providers.
2. Our Commitment
We are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our operations and supply chains. While the nature of our business and size of our operations limit the risk, we recognise our responsibility to take a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking.
3. Supply Chains and Due Diligence
Our supply chains primarily include local service providers such as building contractors, maintenance services, cleaners, and professional services. We aim to work with reputable businesses that share our values.
We carry out due diligence when engaging new suppliers and contractors, and where appropriate, seek confirmation that they comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
4. Policies and Training
We have adopted a simple Anti-Slavery Policy which reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity. All employees and contractors are made aware of our stance on modern slavery, and we encourage the reporting of any concerns.
Due to our small size, we do not currently provide formal training, but relevant staff are briefed on how to identify signs of modern slavery and report concerns.
5. Ongoing Steps
We will continue to:
· Monitor our supply chains and relationships for risks;
Strengthen our supplier vetting processes as the business grows;
Raise awareness within our team about modern slavery risks.
